Hawkers and micro business: the hiding place of illegal immigrants?

The influx of new hawkers in the streets of many urban centres in India is causing worry among residents. People suspect infiltration of illegal immigrant Bangladeshis. In some places where textile units operate, the illegal immigrants find an easy abode to hide. The immigrants become employable because of their low wage demand and hard work for survival, unlike the workers of the home market. However, the arrest of some illegal immigrants has spoiled the sleep of some textile processing units and restaurant owners.
