A support for foreign placement expectants

Those who look for an overseas placement will find in Seagull an amazing global job-hunting platform. That is easy for realising one’s dream and passion.

Seagull International, a global human resource consultant, has launched its job portal www.seagulljobs4u.com for overseas and domestic job seekers.

The portal was launched online by Dr Dnyaneshwar Mulay IFS (Retd.). Dr Mulay is Member-Human Right Commission, Government of India, Former Secretary to Ministry of External Affairs, Indian High Commission to Maldives and Consul General of India to New York. The rising unemployment is a serious issue not only in India, but around the world also.

The problem of unemployment is more severe in India, because of the growing population. If we neglect this problem, it will doom the country’s socio-economy, says Dr Sureshkumar Madhusudhanan, Managing Director
of the Seagull Group.

Though India has a large number of educational institutions, very few institutions appear in the list of world’s top 200. We have 975 universities and 51,000 colleges, 37.50 million in colleges, 16.20 million complete SSC and 9.1 milion students complete the course of graduation either passed or failed. Of the total number of students, 26 per cent go to college for graduation. This number may rise to 50 per cent by 2030, growing at the rate of 2.5 per cent a year. India has 10,500 engineering colleges.

Three million students study in these colleges, out of which 1.5 million graduate successfully.

Altogether 15 million people enter into the Indian job markets, seven million formal jobs and 3.5 million informal jobs.

Rest of the 4.5 million look for other jobs, where the importance of overseas jobs are significant. The overseas recruitment industry collectively creates an average two million job opportunities every year. Most of the job seekers looking for overseas jobs are finding difficulty in reaching the government recognized human resource agencies. But they are hijacked by illegal and unscrupulous agents. This is the context Seagull has thought of launching a job portal, by which the unscrupulous middle man’s exploitation can be avoided. A job seeker can log in to the portal to upload his or her CVs free of charges.
