Citta bags Innovative Startup Awards 2020

A social venture with a vision for youngsters’ empowerment by enabling them to fight their frustration is known for its innovative approach that is a psyche reengineering business.


Citta, a social venture, was recently awarded the Innovative Startup Award 2020 which was organized by IET Mumbai to recognize the innovators that have allowed society to rise from this pandemic. IET is a 150-year-old global organization that shares knowledge that helps make better sense of the world in order to solve the challenges that matter. Citta primarily aims at increasing the accessibility of mental healthcare for Indian students through increased awareness and providing subsidized therapy. Deploying the talent resources of mental health professionals, it conducts workshops in schools and colleges to help students fight a stigma that often leads to depression and eventual suicide. In this process, Citta enables students, who could be tomorrow’s leader, to overcome their frustration and unlock their capabilities.

Citta was co-founded by Sagar Menon and Neelika Chakrabarti. Both are an alumnus of the NMIMS University. Citta is supported by the Resolution Project. A US-based non profit organization that supports young social entrepreneurs all over the world and provides them with seed funding for social ventures. The Resolution Project was established in 2007 to empower young leaders and help them pursue socially responsible solutions to issues affecting university student communities around the world.
