The government has the vision to create a vibrant ecosystem for semiconductor chip design in the country. For this, the Ministry of Electronics and Information (MeitY) is seeking applications from 100 domestic companies, Startups and MSMEs under its Design Linked Incentive (DLI) Scheme. The government has made the driver airbag a compulsory fitment on all motor vehicles used for the carriage of passengers, comprising not more than eight seats, in addition to the driver’s seat, manufactured on and after 1st July 2019.
